About Cassave Restaurant & Taqueria
The story of Cassave Restaurant & Taqueria began when a Mexican restaurant owner got married to someone who owned a Salvadorian restaurant. After tying the knot, they decided to combine the best of the flavors of home and created Cassave. A play on the Salvadorian root Cassava—used in soups, tortillas, and fried beans—the name represented the amalgamation of two countries and their favorite foods.
Before opening the restaurant, our owner gained experience and found his passion for cooking while working at hotels and restaurants. Making people happy through dedicated food preparation and cuisine is what drove him to open his restaurant. So if you’re hungry in the Oakland area, we welcome you to Cassave Restaurant & Taqueria; see our contact page for more information.
